Expanding the anticipation for the publication of Sharon Stone’s new book, Atlantic Books imprint Allen & Unwin has acquired UK and Commonwealth rights to THE BEAUTY OF LIVING TWICE by Sharon Stone. Faulkner commented: "I am delighted that one of my first acquisitions at Allen & Unwin is Sharon Stone’s powerful and deeply moving memoir. So much more than a Hollywood icon, Sharon Stone has overcome real trauma in her life, and her bravery and humanity shine through in this unique story of survival and resilience. We can’t wait to publish it." Knopf will publish the book in the U.S. on March 30, 2021.

Taking the reader beyond the hit Netflix series Narcos, MANHUNTERS presents Steve Murphy’s and Javier F. Peña’s history in law enforcement, from their rigorous physical training and their early DEA assignments in Miami and Austin to the Escobar mission in Medellin, Colombia. St. Martin’s Press published the hardcover edition on November 12, 2019, and will publish the paperback edition on November 17, 2020.

Becky Cooper’s WE KEEP THE DEAD CLOSE published this week after a flurry of incredible press leading up to its release. Cooper held a virtual launch via Politics & Prose in conversation with Pulitzer Prize winning-author Ron Chernow, and Harvard Bookstore will host an event with her and author Patrick Radden Keefe on November 13. The book received excellent reviews from the Boston Globe, NPR, and USA Today, excerpts were featured in Town & Country, CrimeReads, and AARP.com, and Salon and Vogue.com both released interviews with Cooper. Grand Central Publishing published the book on November 10, 2020.

The New York Times named Shirley Hazzard’s COLLECTED STORIES as one of the 16 New Books to Watch for in November. Farrar, Straus & Giroux will publish the book on November 3, 2020.

Former Buzzfeed culture reporter Anne Helen Petersen’s new book, CAN’T EVEN, published on Tuesday to a wealth of praise. The Atlantic writes: “Over the course of CAN’T EVEN, Petersen convincingly draws a line from society-level economic shifts that took place decades ago to how overwhelmed—by work, by debt, by everyday life—many 20- and 30-somethings feel today.” The book also received great attention from NPR, Salon, BuzzFeed, and The Wall Street Journal. HMH published the book on September 22, 2020.

HOW IT ALL BLEW UP by Arvin Ahmadi

Arvin Ahmadi’s HOW IT ALL BLEW UP, a YA contemporary novel about a gay, Muslim Iranian-American teen who runs away to Rome to escape coming out to his family, has received a starred review from School Library Journal. They hails the novel as a “fast-paced coming out/coming-of-age/coming home story” and a “funny and propulsive read, nuanced and full of heart.” Viking Books for Young Readers will publish the book on September 22, 2020.

COLLECTED STORIES by Shirley Hazzard

Vulture featured Shirley Hazzard’s COLLECTED STORIES as one of their “19 Books We’re Excited to Read this Fall.” They write: “It sent me straight back to the bookshelf for another read of [Hazzard’s] THE GREAT FIRE and TRANSIT OF VENUS, and reignited my quest to become a connoisseur of too-little-loved mid-century female writers.” Farrar, Straus & Giroux will publish the book on November 3, 2020.
