THE OCEAN IN YOUR BATHTUB by Seth Fishman and Isabel Greenberg

Fishman and Greenberg’s THE OCEAN IN YOUR BATHTUB was featured on the Summer 2020 Kids’ Indie Next List. Greenwillow Books will publish the book on May 19, 2020.

DRIFTS by Kate Zambreno

DRIFTS by Kate Zambreno is on Entertainment Weekly’s “20 New Books for May,” Fast Company’s “97 Pop-Culture Musts for May,” and The Millions’ “Most Anticipated Books of May.” Seija Rankin and David Canfield from EW write: “This feverish account of artistic isolation can be read as both a how-to manual and a chilling warning about the dangers of walling yourself off.” BOMB Magazine also hosted Zambreno for an online evening in conversation with Amina Cain, the author of INDELICACY. The two writers discussed their novels and answered audience questions. Riverhead Books will publish DRIFTS on May 19, 2020.

WHAT WE INHERIT by Jessica Pearce Rotondi

Jessica Rotondi’s astonishing debut, WHAT WE INHERIT, published this past Tuesday to great praise from Buzzfeed and Women Writers Magazine. Rotondi also spoke with Fast Company and Literary Hub about the ten years of research she conducted into her uncle’s disappearance during the Secret War in Laos in 1972. Finally, in an article for Electric Lit, Rotondi recommends “7 Books About Forgotten Wars.” Unnamed Press published the book on April 21, 2020.

THE ROXY LETTERS by Mary Pauline Lowry

Mary Pauline Lowry’s riot of a sophomore novel, THE ROXY LETTERS, published with great fanfare last week. The Washington Post’s “Book Maven” Bethanne Patrick calls it “the kind of comic novel we need right now. Not just because it is fun, funny and filled with eccentrics, but because Lowry's novel proves that good people working together can make positive changes.” Simon & Schuster published the book on April 7, 2020.

THE TRYING GAME by Amy Klein

THE TRYING GAME, a debut book from New York Times “Fertility Diary” blogger Amy Klein, hit shelves last Tuesday. A primer on all things related to fertility treatments, Klein’s book is a must-have for those facing obstacles on their journey to motherhood. Ballantine Books published the book on April 7, 2020.

GIRL CRUSHED by Katie Heaney

Katie Heaney’s YA debut, GIRL CRUSHED, published to great acclaim this past Tuesday. PopSugar named it one of the 25 Best Books Coming Out in April, and Indigo featured it on their list of Top Ten Teen Books for April. Additionally, Refinery29 published an exclusive excerpt from GIRL CRUSHED on their website as well as an interview with the author. Heaney also held a fabulous virtual launch on Instagram Live with R29’s Director of Fashion & Culture, Gabrielle Korn. On publication day, The Cut featured an article by Katie Heaney in which she discusses her transition from adult books to YA. Knopf Books for Young Readers published the book on April 7, 2020.

WINE GIRL by Victoria James

Victoria James, partner and beverage director of Cote, is receiving great acclaim for her memoir WINE GIRL. James’s tale of rising through the restaurant ranks to become the country’s youngest sommelier received a starred review from Publishers Weekly and was chosen by Amazon’s editors as a Best Book of the Month. James also sat down with Parade, Kirkus, and NPR’s Morning Edition, among other outlets, to share her story of grit, perseverance, and—above all—taste. Ecco published the book on March 24, 2020.

PROVIDENCE by Max Barry

Max Barry’s PROVIDENCE has been hailed by Shelf Awareness as “[y]et another example of [Barry’s] ability to deliver big ideas in the form of breathlessly efficient sci-fi thrillers.” The site also writes that: “Barry excels at hitting the sweet spot between brainy and entertaining.” G.P. Putnam's Sons published the hardcover on March 31, 2020.

PRECIOUS YOU by Helen Monks Takhar

Helen Monks Takhar’s debut thriller, PRECIOUS YOU, hit shelves this past Tuesday to a wealth of praise. In a starred review, Kirkus refers to it as “[a] wickedly sharp first novel from an author to watch,” adding that “[r]eaders won’t be able to tear their eyes away as this runaway train inevitably derails.” Additionally, CrimeReads listed the novel as one of its “Most Anticipated Crime Books of 2020.” Random House published the book on March 10, 2020.

MY METEORITE by Harry Dodge

Harry Dodge’s memoir MY METEORITE was featured in Vol. 1 Brooklyn’s March 2020 Book Preview. Penguin Books will publish the book on March 17, 2020.
