JOHN WAYNE: THE LIFE AND LEGEND debuted at #11 on the New York Times Bestseller list for the week of April 20, 2014. The book was recently in the Wall Street Journal where it was called “both deeply researched and totally absorbing.” Simon & Schuster published the book April 1, 2014.
Michael Korda’s new biography of Robert E. Lee, CLOUDS OF GLORY, received a starred review in Kirkus. The review calls it “a masterful biography” and a “heart-wrenching story of the man and his state.” HarperCollins will publish the book on May 13, 2014.

DIRTY WORK, the debut novel from Gabriel Weston, received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly. The review calls it “intense” and a “medical and moral tour de force.” Little Brown will publish the book August 12, 2014.

The Knowledge: How to Rebuild the World from Scratch by Lewis Dartnell was named by The New Yorker as a Book to Watch Out for the month of April. The book was also recently reviewed by Kirkus, which praised Dartnell for “appreciating while there’s still time the world of ‘bountiful and varied food, spectacularly effective medicines, effortless and comfortable travel, and abundant energy.’” The author also had an essay called “Civilization’s Starter Kit” in the March 30, 2014 edition of the New York Times. Penguin Press will publish the book on April 17, 2014.
THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS was named by Amazon as the Featured Debut for the month of April. In her review, Sara Nelson raves that “Ted Thompson is such an acute observer… No wonder Thompson is being touted as this generation’s Updike and The Land of Steady Habits--a perfect description of the upper-middle class bubble life illustrated here--as his Rabbit, Run.” Little Brown published the book on March 25, 2014.
Former President Jimmy Carter appeared on the March 25, 2014 episode of The Colbert Report to discuss his new book A CALL TO ACTION: Women, Religion, Violence and Power. Simon & Schuster published the book March 25, 2014.
