Rene Steinke’s FRIENDSWOOD was reviewed by Kirkus, which called it a “sharp, observant novel about the hard realities of challenging the status quo.” Riverhead will publish the book on August 14, 2014.
The Guardian announced that Oliver Stone will direct an adaption of Luke Harding’s book THE SNOWDEN FILES. Vintage published the book in the U.S. February 7, 2014.
Ramona Ausubel’s short story “You Can Find Love Now” was published in summer fiction issue of The New Yorker, whose theme is love stories. Riverhead published Ausubel’s most recent book, A GUIDE TO BEING BORN, May 2, 2013.
Dinaw Mengestu’s ALL OUR NAMES was reviewed by The Guardian, which called the book “a significant moment in African literary history,” and said, “Already the recipient of a number of awards in the United States, including a MacArthur fellowship, [Mengestu] is rapidly becoming a writer on the global stage.” Knopf published the book on March 4, 2014.
Josh Weil’s THE GREAT GLASS SEA was given a starred review in Kirkus, which said, “[An] impressive debut novel … Weil has fairy-tale elements and a Pushkin romance weaving through a moderately futuristic setting … the prose shifts markedly from harshly realistic to lyrical and sometimes poetic … Weil’s first novel is rooted in family and fine storytelling; it’s an engaging, highly satisfying tale blessed by sensitivity and a gifted imagination.” Grove Atlantic will publish the book on July 2, 2014.

Her book A GIRL AND HER PIG was published by Ecco on April 10, 2012.
Lucy Corin’s ONE HUNDRED APOCALYPSES AND OTHER APOCALYPSES has been longlisted for the 2014 International Frank O’Connor Short Story Award. McSweeney’s published the book on August 27, 2013.
THE ULTRA THIN MAN received a starred review in Publishers Weekly, which called it a “splendidly lively SF debut.” Tor will publish the book August 12, 2014.
AMERICAN ROMANTIC received a positive review in Sunday, June 8th’s edition of The New York Times Book Review. The review, Gail Godwin, praises the author as “both a writer’s writer and an astute tracker of human souls under duplicity and duress.” She also calls the book “one of his finest” and says that “it’s a good place to be introduced to his work.” Houghton Mifflin Harcourt published the book April 1, 2014.
