The audio version of THE THINGS THEY CARRIED, which was narrated by Bryan Cranston, was nominated for an Audie Award for the Best Audiobook of 2013. Audible published their edition on October 15th 2013.

LEXICON by Max Barry

Max Barry’s LEXICON won BEST SCIENCE FICTION NOVEL in Australia’s 2013 Aurealis Awards. Penguin published the paperback edition April 1, 2014.

After a vote of the general membership of the Horror Writers of America, THE HEAVENS RISE by Christopher Rice is officially one of five nominees for the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Novel. Gallery Books published the book October 15, 2013.

A. Scott Berg’s biography of Woodrow Wilson is a finalist for the Los Angeles Times book prize in the Biography category. Putnam published the book on September 10, 2013.

LET HIM GO by Larry Watson

Larry Watson’s LET HIM GO has won the 2013 Montana Book Award. The annual award recognizes literary or artistic excellence in a book written or illustrated by someone who lives in Montana, is set in Montana, or deals with Montana themes or issues. Judges said, “In Let Him Go, Watson is at his storytelling finest.” Milkweed Editions published the book on September 3, 2013.

KIND OF KIN by Rilla Askew

Rilla Askew’s KIND OF KIN was nominated for The Salt Lake County Library System semi-annual Reader’s Choice Award. The Salt Lake County Library System is the largest in Utah, serving over 650,000 residents, through 18 libraries. The book was published by Ecco on January 1, 2013.

THE GREAT CONVERGENCE by Kishore Mahbubani

Kishore Mahbubani has been long-listed for the Lionel Gelber Prize for his book THE GREAT CONVERGENCE: Asia, the West, and the Logic of One World. JOHNNY CASH: THE LIFE by Robert Hilburn

Robert Hilburn’s JOHNNY CASH: The Life is one of the winning non-fiction titles on the 2014 Notable Books List from Reference and User Services Association (RUSA), a division of the American Library Association. The list is an annual literary award that identifies outstanding and noteworthy fiction, nonfiction and poetry for adult readers. We’re pleased to report that has been included. Little, Brown and Company published the book on October 29, 2013.

During its Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia, The American Library Association made Max Barry’s book is a recipient of the Alex Award for the 10 best adult books that appeal to teen audiences. Penguin Press published the book on June 18, 2013.

Ismet Prcic

Ismet Prcic’s “Imperial Dreams,” a feature film co-written with Matt Vitthal about an ex-con trying to reconnect with his son, won the Best of Next audience award at Sundance Film Festival. Prcic’s award-winning novel SHARDS was published by Grove Atlantic on October 4, 2011.
