WE CAST A SHADOW by Maurice Carlos Ruffin

Maurice Carlos Ruffin’s WE CAST A SHADOW has been selected for the 2019 Center for Fiction First Novel Prize Long List. The Center for Fiction First Novel Prize is awarded to the best debut novel of the year. The 2019 Short List will be announced in September and the winner will be announced in December at The Center for Fiction's Annual Benefit and Awards Dinner. One World published the book on January 29, 2019.

Ashleigh Young’s collection CAN YOU TOLERATE THIS? has been shortlisted for the prestigious Rathbones Folio Prize. Riverhead published the book in North America on July 3, 2018.
THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE by Katherine Arden
Katherine Arden has been nominated for the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer. She joins a shortlist of five other writers whose first professional work of science fiction or fantasy was published the last two years. The winner will be presented August 2019 in Dublin at the annual Hugo Awards. Del Rey Books published the book on January 18, 2017.
