Booklist shared a growing review of Las Horn’s debut essay collection, VOICE OF THE FISH. Reviewer Michael Cart calls the book “profound,” adding: “[T]he author’s experiences are uniformly interesting and the essays about them [are] well written…[T]hose who enjoy the offbeat will be right at home.” Graywolf Press will publish the book on June 7, 2022.

Kirkus reviewed Nicole Pasulka’s forthcoming nonfiction, HOW YOU GET FAMOUS, praising: “An award-winning journalist takes a deep dive into New York City’s underground drag scene…[T]he skilled reporting and storytelling that characterize the narrative make for an engaging book that will appeal to scholars of gender as well as anyone with an interest in queer culture. An adventurously intelligent sociological study.” Simon & Schuster will publish the book on June 7, 2022.

Rebecca Rukeyser’s debut novel THE SEAPLANE ON FINAL APPROACH received a glowing review from Publishers Weekly. They call it an “intoxicating debut,” adding: “Rukeyser’s signature bleak humor will leave readers excited to see what comes next.” Doubleday will publish the novel on June 7, 2022.

A SAFE HOUSE, the 61st book in the Stone Barrington series, will make its debut on The New York Times bestseller list for the week of April 10, 2022. It will debut at number 11 on the Hardcover Fiction list, and number 6 on the Combined Print & E-Book Fiction list. G.P. Putnam’s Sons published the book on March 22, 2022.

Roxane Gay highlighted Rio Cortez’s poem “Black Lead in a Nancy Meyers Film” in her acclaimed newsletter, The Audacity. Gay called the poem “wonderful,” adding that she “can’t wait to read” GOLDEN AX. Penguin Books will publish the collection on August 30, 2022.

Nada Alic will release a short film series inspired by her forthcoming debut short story collection BAD THOUGHTS on April 7. The films, based on three stories from the collection, will premiere at the Neuehouse Bradbury Building in Downtown Los Angeles. The premiere will involve a screening of the series, directed by Brandon Tauszi, as well as readings and performances from Anna Seregina, Allie Rowbottom, Tea Hacic, and others. Additionally, Astra Magazine will feature the story “This Is Heaven” from BAD THOUGHTS in their inaugural issue, which will publish on April 12, 2022. Vintage will publish BAD THOUGHTS on July 12, 2022.

THE MOVEMENT MADE US by David Dennis, Jr. in collaboration with his father, David Dennis, Sr., was featured at the head of Atlanta Magazine’s spring reading list. Harper will publish THE MOVEMENT MADE US on May 10, 2022.

Carlene Bauer’s debut novel, GIRLS THEY WRITE SONGS ABOUT, received a starred review from Kirkus. They praise: “With deftness and candor, Bauer tells a moving and thoughtful story of how desire and ambition change over time and how to make sense of the messiness of carving out a path and life of one’s own. A smart and beautifully rendered portrait of two women’s lives.” Farrar, Straus and Giroux will publish the novel on June 21, 2022.

The Paris Review published a poem from Maggie Millner’s forthcoming poetry collection, COUPLETS, in their Spring 2022 issue. Farrar, Straus, and Giroux will publish the book on February 7, 2023.

HIGH STAKES, Danielle Steel’s latest novel, will make its debut on the New York Times Bestseller list for the week of March 27, 2022. It will debut at number 4 on the Combined Print & E-book Fiction list and number 4 on the Hardcover Fiction list. Delacorte Press published the book on March 8, 2022.
