THE DARK DARK by Samantha Hunt

Jia Tolentino recommended celebrated novelist Samantha Hunt’s upcoming debut THE DARK DARK in the New Yorker’s web feature “What We’re Reading This Summer,” where she writes: “Samantha Hunt’s new collection of short stories… wields such a subtle and alien power that I couldn’t read more than a couple of pieces in a sitting without feeling like some witchy substance was working its way through my blood.” Farrar, Straus & Giroux will publish the book on July 18, 2017.

UNWANTED ADVANCES by Laura Kipnis

Rebecca Mead recommended Laura Kipnis’s UNWANTED ADVANCES in the New Yorker’s web feature “What We’re Reading This Summer,” where she writes: “Kipnis adeptly applies the now unfashionable but enduringly illuminating insights of psychoanalysis, with mordantly compelling results, to the actions and motivations of those who have become ensnarled in institutional [Title IX] scrutiny." Harper published the book April 4, 2017.

Spiegel & Grau published IN THE DAYS OF RAIN on July 4, 2017.

THE AGE OF PERPETUAL LIGHT by Josh Weil

In a starred Kirkus review, Josh Weil’s upcoming debut collection was lauded as “a rich, often dazzling collection of short stories linked by themes while ranging widely in style from Babel-like fables to gritty noir and sci-fi.” Grove, Atlantic will publish the book on September 12, 2017.

DEAR CYBORGS by Eugene Lim

Eugene Lim’s DEAR CYBORGS received a rave review from Christian Lorentzen in New York Magazine. DEAR CYBORGS is also one of the best books of the year so far, according to Nylon and the Chicago Review of Books. Jonathan Sturgeon included DEAR CYBORGS in a review of Occupy literature for The Baffler, calling DEAR CYBORGS “a short but important novel.” Eugene joined the Leonard Lopate show on June 23 to discuss his new novel.

LARGE ANIMALS by Jess Arndt

Jess Arndt’s LARGE ANIMALS is one of 2017’s Best Fiction Books So Far, according to the Chicago Review of Books, as well as one of 6 Poetry and Prose Collections Feminists Should Read This Summer, according to Ms. Magazine. Maggie Nelson interviewed and introduced Jess for Poets & Writers’ First Fiction 2017 feature, included in the July/August issue. Zyzzyva reviewed LARGE ANIMALS, calling it “startling” and “vivid.”

A HUNDRED BILLION TRILLION STARS by Seth Fishman, illustrated by Isabel Greenberg

Kirkus has given the picture book a glowing first review, calling it “insightful, awe-inspiring” and “an auspicious primer on some very big numbers.” Greenwillow Book will publish the book on September 12, 2017.
