Dan Harris’ book comes in at #16 on the Los Angeles Times Hard Cover non-fiction list this week and. Additionally, it’s audio edition made it on to Audible’s BEST of 2014 (so far) list.

Olivia Laing recently published a piece in the Guardian called “’Every Hour a glass of wine’-the female writers who drank” about famous female writers such as Maguerite Duras, Patricia Highsmith, and Elizabeth Bishop and their battles with alcoholism. The article was a companion piece to her acclaimed book THE TRIP TO ECHO SPRING, a book about male writers who struggled with alcoholism. The book was published by Picador on December 31, 2013.

Ramona Ausubel’s short story “You Can Find Love Now” was published in summer fiction issue of The New Yorker, whose theme is love stories. Riverhead published Ausubel’s most recent book, A GUIDE TO BEING BORN, May 2, 2013.

April Bloomfield

On June 13th, as part of a week-long celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the original Madision Square Park Shake Shake, they will be serving for one day only a limited edition burger created by April Bloomfield called The Breslin Burger. Her book A GIRL AND HER PIG was published by Ecco on April 10, 2012.

CHRIST THE LORD by Anne Rice

A film adaptation of Anne Rice’s novel CHRIST THE LORD: Out of Egypt produced by Enzo Sisti (Passion of the Christ) and distributed by Focus Features will begin filming this September in Italy. Knopf first published the book November 1, 2005.

Rilla Askew’s essay “The Cost,” about the effects of stop and frisk on youth, was published in The Daily Beast. Rilla’s recent novel KIND OF KIN was published by Ecco on January 8, 2013.
