THE ROXY LETTERS by Mary Pauline Lowry

Mary Pauline Lowry’s hilarious novel THE ROXY LETTERS has received a great bit of praise from The Boise Review. They call heroine Roxy’s adventures “diverting, thoughtful, and laugh-out-loud funny.” Lowry’s novel was also selected by Sunset Magazine as one of its “10 Books to Read Right Now.” Simon & Schuster published the book on April 7, 2020.

THE MARGOT AFFAIR by Sanaë Lemoine

Sanaë Lemoine’s lovely debut THE MARGOT AFFAIR has garnered a shining review from Kirkus. The magazine calls Lemoine’s first book “[a]n engrossing, impressive debut novel that skillfully charts a young Frenchwoman’s coming-of-age.” This praise comes on the heels of glowing acclaim from Ling Ma, Victor LaVelle, and Karen Russell, among many other outstanding authors. Hogarth will publish the book on June 16, 2020.

LAST TANG STANDING by Lauren Ho

Lauren Ho’s sparkling debut LAST TANG STANDING received an excellent review from Kirkus this week. They call it “[a] lush portrayal of Singapore life filled with vibrant characters and a lovable leading lady readers will root for,” who is “reminiscent of Bridget Jones herself.” G.P. Putnam's Sons will publish the book on June 9, 2020.

PROVIDENCE by Max Barry

Max Barry’s PROVIDENCE is receiving positive early praise. The Nerd Daily calls the novel “a triumph that grabs you with mystery, tension, and great writing,” as well as “[t]hrilling in truly every sense of the word.” G.P. Putnam's Sons will publish the hardcover on March 31, 2020.

Kate Weinberg’s chilling debut, THE TRUANTS, has received a glowing write-up in the New York Times Book Review’s crime column. They call it “[a] hypnotic debut,” and an “uncommonly clever whodunit.” G.P. Putnam’s Sons published the book on January 28, 2020.

FUNNY WEATHER by Olivia Laing

Publishers Weekly gave Olivia Laing’s essay collection FUNNY WEATHER a glowing review. They write: “[It] will leave readers eager to reengage with art they know well, and explore art as yet new to them.” W. W. Norton & Company will publish the book on May 12, 2020.

THE EXHIBITION OF PERSEPHONE Q by Jessi Jezewska Stevens

Jessi Jezewska Stevens’ debut novel received a rave review in the New York Times Book Review. The reviewer Haley Mlotek writes: “The novel has a romantic slowness, unfurling gracefully, little by little, to show how quickly the present gives way to the future, or concedes to the past.” The New York Times also published an excerpt from the book. Farrar, Straus & Giroux published the book on March 3, 2020.

PRECIOUS YOU by Helen Monks Takhar

Helen Monks Takhar’s debut novel PRECIOUS YOU is a fierce thriller steeped in jealousy and revenge. Booklist deems it “perfect for those still looking for psychologically twisty thrillers featuring boozy Englishwomen who go wildly off-course, à la The Girl on the Train.” Random House will publish the book on March 10, 2020.

WHAT WE INHERIT by Jessica Rotondi

Booklist calls Jessica Rotondi’s WHAT WE INHERIT, an account of her family’s search for her missing uncle, a fighter pilot shot down during the Vietnam War, “powerful, heartbreaking, and gut-wrenching.” The Unnamed Press will publish the book on April 21, 2020.

DRIFTS by Kate Zambreno

Kate Zambreno’s next novel DRIFTS has received two starred reviews in advance of its May publication. Kirkus called the book “a lyrical, fragmentary, and heartfelt story about the beauty and difficulty of artistic isolation,” and Publishers Weekly praised it as “a captivating deconstruction of the writer’s process that will reward readers in search for meaning.” Riverhead Books will publish the book on May 19, 2020.
