Michael Zapata’s debut novel, THE LOST BOOK OF ADANA MOREAU, has been shortlisted for the Chicago Review of Books’ CHIRBy Awards, which recognize "the best fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and short essays published by Chicago-based writers." Nominees will read short excerpts from their respective works, and winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on December 3rd. Rock photographer Bob Gruen was featured in the New York Post. He discussed his book, RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME, noting that this book is very different from other ones he has published: “When you develop a trust and a friendship, then when you are taking pictures you’re in a much more comfortable situation…This is not a photo book – it’s a word book. BEARSKIN by James A. McLaughlin has been awarded the Grand Prix de Littérature Policière for the best translated novel. The Grand Prix de Littérature Policière is the most prestigious award in France for mystery and detective novels. Ecco published the book on June 12, 2018.

Netflix has acquired the film rights to CYBERSTORM by Matthew Mather. Screenwriter Matt Lopez will pen the adaptation, with Sebastian Hofmann attached to direct and Emile Gladstone on board to produce. Matthew Mather self-published CYBERSTORM on March 15, 2013.
