Ted Thompson’s THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS was featured in end of year roundups in the San Francisco Chronicle, Slate and the Barnes & Noble review. In the San Francisco Chronicle’s roundup of “Writer’s Favorite Books of 2014”, the author Will Boast called the book “A sly, painstaking portrait of an unraveling marriage and a crumbling culture.”

Gabriel Roth in Slate listed the book as one of the “27 Books You Shouldn’t Have Overlooked in 2014”, praising the “acuity of observation, unostentatiously lovely prose, [and] familiarity with despair.” Stephen Eirik Clark in the Barnes & Noble Review piece on “The Best Things they Read in 2014.” called it “beautiful” Little, Brown published the book on March 5, 2014.
