The review, Gail Godwin, praises the author as “both a writer’s writer and an astute tracker of human souls under duplicity and duress.” She also calls the book “one of his finest” and says that “it’s a good place to be introduced to his work.” Houghton Mifflin Harcourt published the book April 1, 2014.
