HUMANKIND by Rutger Bregman

Rutger Bregman’s article “The Moment to Change the World is Right Now” was featured on the cover of TIME Magazine. Bregman writes: “In a time of extraordinary challenges, when COVID-19 seems like just the prequel to the global climate crisis, we need to assume the best in one another. As a historian, I can’t say I’m optimistic, but I am hopeful, because hope impels us to act.” Little, Brown and Company will publish Bregman’s forthcoming book, HUMANKIND, on June 2, 2020.

WHAT WE INHERIT by Jessica Pearce Rotondi

As part of her digital book tour, author Jessica Pearce Rotondi appeared on the Debutiful podcast to discuss the 10-year-long research project into a missing uncle that became her first book, WHAT WE INHERIT. Unnamed Press published the book on April 21, 2020.

THE BADDEST BITCH IN THE ROOM by Sophia Chang

Publishers Weekly ran a fantastic interview with former Wu-Tang Clan manager and music executive Sophia Chang. Chang discussed her memoir, THE BADDEST BITCH IN THE ROOM, which was originally released as an Audible Original and will be published in print this September. When asked what inspired her to write this book, Chang replied, “I want to be of service to others. I hope this book is helpful to those who have been afraid to tell their stories or raise their voices, people who feel they’ve been undervalued.” Chang was also featured in the latest episode of Defining Moments with OZY on Hulu, where she discussed her upbringing as the child of Korean immigrants in Canada, her love affair with the New York hip-hop scene, and her experiences as a working single mother. Catapult will publish the book on September 8, 2020.

PERFECT TUNES by Emily Gould

Emily Gould's PERFECT TUNES received an enthusiastic review in The Washington Post. They call it a “poignant story about the hard and intangibly enriching work of motherhood." Additionally, journalist Allison Stewart interviewed Gould for her NYC culture podcast All Of It, wherein the two discussed the research that Gould conducted in order to set her characters in a true-to-life 2001 New York City. DRIFTS by Kate Zambreno

In a conversation published to Granta’s website, Kate Zambreno discusses life in quarantine with fellow author Kathryn Scanlan. Zambreno says, “Some people have contacted me and told me that their life now . . . reminds them of the life of the narrator of [DRIFTS]” adding that “so much of DRIFTS is enthralled to dailiness and solitude, to even alienation.” Riverhead Books will publish the book on May 19, 2020.
