Rebecca Rukeyser sat down for a Q&A with Lit Hub to discuss the themes in her debut novel, THE SEAPLANE ON FINAL APPROACH. Interviewer Tony Tulathimutte writes: “Like her two dads, Davids Cronenberg and Lynch, [Rukeyser’s] always had a knack for details so disgusting they become attractions…but her real talent is much subtler: her ability to coax out the sinister and squeamish side of the seemingly ordinary through close inspection.” Doubleday published the novel on June 7, 2022.

Book Riot featured Kendra Allen’s forthcoming memoir FRUIT PUNCH — which they called a “stunning work of nonfiction” — on its list of “22 More Great New Books to Read in 2022.” Publishers Weekly also included the memoir in a longlist of the most anticipated memoirs of Fall 2022. Ecco will publish the book on August 9, 2022.

Entertainment Weekly published an exclusive cover art reveal and first excerpt of SCHITT’S CREEK writer Monica Heisey’s highly anticipated debut novel, REALLY GOOD, ACTUALLY, on June 22. Calie Schepp of EW writes: “[Heisey] has created a tender yet sharp novel that tells the heartbreaking and hilarious tales of a young woman going through a divorce.” The article also includes a short interview with Heisey in which the author discusses her own experience getting a divorce in her twenties, her decision to switch from TV to novel writing, and more. William Morrow will publish the book on January 17, 2023.

Following the publication of FIGHT LIKE HELL, Kim Kelly was interviewed by various national and regional media outlets, including The Atlantic, The Hill, Alabama’s Valley Labor Report, The Progressive, and Wisconsin’s community radio station, WORT 89.9, as well as Queer Eye star Jonathan van Ness for his podcast, Getting Curious. For SPIN Magazine, Kelly discussed making a name for herself first as a music journalist covering the metal scene and now as a labor reporter covering activist and union movements across the country: “The union was my favorite band…I was spending more time at union meetings than at metal shows. I was learning more about the labor movement, the ins and outs of labor law, and seeing the way that exploitation, inequities and these historic wrongs still impact so many workers today.
