THE BEAR AND THE NIGHTINGALE by Katherine Arden

The audio edition of Katherine Arden’s debut fantasy novel by was named the best Fantasy novel of 2017 by Audible. Sam, the editor at Audible in his recommendation says “Listening to the novel is reminiscent of listening to a classic fairy tale… The Bear and the Nightingale offered one of the most captivating journeys for listeners this year.” Del Rey published the book on June 27, 2017. The sequel to the book, THE GIRL IN THE TOWER, was published by Del Rey on December 5, 2017.

STICKY FINGERS by Joe Hagan

Two of the New York Times daily book critics, Dwight Garner & Janet Maslin named Joe Hagan’s biography of Jann Wenner one of the Best Books of 2017. Dwight Garner writes “Hagan has delivered a graceful, confident, dispassionately reported and deeply well-written biography. It’s a big book, one that no one will wish longer, but its chapters move past like a crunching collection of singles and not a thumb-sucking double album. It’s a joy to read and feels built to last.”

Refinery29 named Hermione Hoby’s debut novel NEON IN DAYLIGHT one of its Best New Books to Read this Month. Catapult will publish NEON IN DAYLIGHT on January 9, 2018.

LARGE ANIMALS by Jess Arndt

Jess Arndt’s short story collection LARGE ANIMALS is one of Entropy Magazine’s Best Fiction Books of the year. Read it Forward also named it to their list of Sensational Short Story Collections. Catapult published LARGE ANIMALS on May 9, 2017.

A HUNDRED BILLION TRILLION STARS by Seth Fishman

The Horn Book has included A HUNDRED BILLION TRILLION STARS in its 2017 Fanfare roundup and gave it a starred review. Horn said of the book that it “beautifully succeeds in its mission to convey to young readers the vastness of the numbers in our midst while reassuring them that, although each of us is one of billions of people roaming the earth today, ‘there’s only one of YOU.’" Greenwillow Books published the picture book on October 3, 2017.

CRAIG & FRED by Craig Grossi

Sgt. Craig Grossi appeared on the Today Show to promote his memoir CRAIG & FRED: A Marine, A Stray Dog, and How They Rescued Each Other. He was also recently on the Rachel Ray show. William Morrow published the book on October 31, 2017.

The acclaimed biography of Jann Wenner received positive reviews in The New York Times Book Review & The Guardian.
