THE WOLVES OF MIDWINTER by Anne Rice is #9 on the New York Times Hardcover Best Sellers list for the week of November 3rd. Knopf published the novel on October 15, 2013.
DOING HARD TIME by Stuart Woods is at #2 on the combined print & e-book New York Times Bestseller list and #8 on the Hardcover list. Putnam published the book on October 8, 2013.
HERETICS AND HEROES by Thomas Cahill was reviewed in Booklist: “Although it is rigorously researched, the book abounds in the serendipities that make for the best fiction…The text is delightfully sprinkled with clever notes and asides as well as dozens of illustrative images and poems.” Nan A. Talese will publish the book October 29, 2013.
Audible’s new edition of O’Brien’s Pulitzer finalist, landmark collection about the soldiers who fought in the War in Vietnam has been recorded by Bryan Cranston. It will also feature Tim reading from his New York Times Magazine piece, The Vietnam in Me. This deluxe audio edition is a product of the new Playtone and Audible creative partnership and was released October 15th, 2013.
FLYOVER LIVES by Diane Johnson received a glowing review in Kirkus: “The unfailing deftness of the prose makes this book a pleasure.” Viking will publish the book January 16, 2014.
QUIET DELL by Jayne Anne Phillips received a rave review in the November issue of O Magazine: “Phillips blends fact and fiction in a darkly poetic way: The result is an absorbing novel that leaves us rooting for the heroine Emily becomes.” Scribner published the novel on October 15, 2013.

Delia Ephron’s opinion piece on the New York City bikeshare program was published in the October 20th edition of the Sunday Review section of the New York Times. Blue Rider Press published her most recent book SISTER MOTHER HUSBAND DOG (etc) on September 17, 2013.
CBS has purchased and will adapt Koethi Zan’s international bestselling novel, THE NEVER LIST, into a television series. A.M Homes (The End of Alice, The L Word) will write and executive produce, along with Sara Timberman and Carl Beverly, the drama. Pamela Dorman Books (VIKING) published the international bestseller on July 16th, 2013.
QUIET DELL by Jayne Anne Phillips was positively reviewed in the New York Times Book Review, which called it a “vivid historical novel” and the Wall Street Journal, which raves that there is “a glowing beauty to the book’s brave generous version of history.” Scribner published the book on October 15, 2013.
Jennifer Percy published “Voice In The Night” in the November issue of Harper’s Magazine. The story is an excerpt from Percy’s upcoming book, DEMON CAMP, to be published by Scribner on January 14, 2014.
THE SCENT OF PINE by Lara Vapnyar received a positive review from Kirkus Reviews. The review praised the author saying her writing style by saying that “everything seems to be in plain sight, but one can sense deeper truth hiding below the surface.” The review also called the book “slight in girth but not in depth.” Simon and Schuster will publish the book on January 7, 2014.
