The New Yorker featured Maxim Loskutoff’s debut novel RUTHIE FEAR in its “Briefly Noted” section, praising the way “Loskutoff uses tropes of the Western—vivid depictions of mountain landscapes and hunting scenes—to offer a subtle portrayal of poverty and class warfare.” W. W. Norton & Company published the book on September 1, 2020.
