The Los Angeles Times said that the debut novel “might serve as a fascinating and lively fictional corrective – a portrait of what it can mean to be a Mormon missionary.” The Daily Beast called it “excellent,” and Los Angeles Magazine included the “insightful” book on its monthly Reading List. Publishers Weekly called it a “subtly told debut novel with a tight cast of rounded characters.” Hogarth published the book March 5, 2013.
