He later followed the recommendation with a personal Twitter shout-out: "While I’m on here talking about books I love, here’s another shout for this brutal and brilliant gem ABUNDANCE by Jakob Guanzon. The last few chapters set my pulse RACING. I can’t believe this is a debut. Don’t miss it." Graywolf Press published the book on March 2, 2021.

They call it a "hypnotic, inventive debut...It’s a brilliant and absurd meditation on what it means to be haunted.” Farrar, Straus, and Giroux will publish the novel on August 3, 2021.

TIME magazine featured THE ONES WHO DON’T SAY THEY LOVE YOU by Maurice Carlos Ruffin on its list of “36 New Books You Need to Read This Summer," praising the way Ruffin “highlights experiences both specific and universal about people living on the margins while simultaneously capturing the culture and spirit of New Orleans.” One World will publish the book on August 17, 2021.

TIME magazine featured CHINA ROOM by Sunjeev Sahota on its list of “36 New Books You Need to Read This Summer," praising the way Sahota “examines agency, power and human connection.” Viking will publish the novel on July 13, 2021.

THE PROPHETS by Robert Jones Jr. was featured on Goodread’s list of “9 Books that Goodreads Editors Highly Recommend.” Senior Editor Cybil Wallace raves: “Believe the hype, folks! Bloomberg Businessweek featured an excerpt from Lauren Etter’s upcoming THE DEVIL’S PLAYBOOK. Crown will publish the book on May 25, 2021.

The New York Times featured Matt Bell’s APPLESEED on their list of most-anticipated summer reads, writing: “With its urgent warnings about our ecological future, this novel may not be textbook escapist reading, but it conjures up thought-provoking, immersive worlds.” Custom House will publish the novel on July 13, 2021.
