Victoria Wilson’s A LIFE OF BARBARA STANWYCK received a starred review in Booklist. The review calls it “richly researched” and a “fabulous and expansive examination of the life on an iconic American actress.” Simon & Schuster published the book on November 12, 2013.
THE ABSENCE OF MERCY received a positive review in Booklist. The review says Burley “sensitively portrays parents dealing with damage and loss in a well-constructed plot with increasing tension.” The review also calls the book a “relentlessly readable thriller that will leave readers of suspense waiting for more.” HarperCollins published the book on November 19, 2013.
Carlene Bauer was on NPR’s “On Point” with Tom Ashbrook, discussing Flannery O’Connor’s prayer journal. Bauer’s book FRANCES AND BERNARD was published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt on February 5, 2013.

Dinaw Mengestu’s ALL OUR NAMES received a starred, first-page review in Publishers Weekly and was named the PW Pick of the Week: “Mengestu evokes contrasting landscapes but focuses on his characters..who are all caught in a cycle of connection and disruption, engagement and abandonment, hope and disillusion.” Knopf will publish the book on March 4, 2014.

Danielle Steel appeared on Good Morning America on November 12, 2013 to promote her latest non-fiction bestseller PURE JOY: THE DOGS WE LOVE. PURE JOY debuted at number 7 on the Combined Print & E-book New York Times bestseller list for the week of November 17th. Delacorte published the book on October 29, 2013.
Jeffrey Eugendies short story, “Find the Bad Guy” was published in the November 18, 2013 issue of the New Yorker. His latest novel, THE MARRIAGE PLOT, was published by Farrar Straus & Giroux on October 11, 2011.
